Sometimes a direct debit fails. Below you can read about the most common causes and the best thing to do.
Failed direct debit. this could be the reason:
- There is insufficient balance or;
- The collector (Riverty) is blocked or;
- A manual reversal has been made by the customer himself or;
- A maximum collection amount has been set or;
- The direct debit has been refused or reversed (reversed)
Missed a payment – what now?
If a direct debit fails, you remain responsible for paying your invoice.
1. Contact your bank and ask how to prevent this from happening
In these situations, it’s important to get in touch with your own bank to find out how to ensure that the next direct debit will go through successfully.
2. Make sure to pay your bill yourself via the Riverty app or The Riverty Webapp
