You receive an e-invoice via your own accounting or ERP system. The invoice is delivered directly through the Peppol network. In most cases, you will not receive the e-invoice by email.
This is how receiving an e-invoice works:
- The invoice is created in a structured digital format (UBL/XML).
- It is sent via the Peppol network.
- Peppol delivers the invoice to your accounting system.
Your accountant or software provider usually sets this up for you.
