For the Netherlands
The term payment for your Flex credit is debited each month by direct debit. What happens if a payment arrears occurs, you can read in this article.
If the payment fails
The first time
- We'll notify you with a payment reminder by e-mail.
- Make sure you have sufficient balance in your bank account before the next payment date
- You can always transfer the payment arrears yourself via iDEAL or a manual transfer. You can read how to do this here
The second time
- We report the payment arrears in your Flex loan to BKR. You will get a negative registration
- The Flex account is put on inactive status until the next payment arrears are paid.
In case of multiple missed payments
- We notify you that the credit has been claimed. This means you have to pay the total credit amount at once.
- We also report this to the BKR. This is an addition to the negative registration.
- When the payment arrears are transferred to the collection agency, the contract is terminated, but the payment obligation remains
In case of financial problems
Are you unable to pay your monthly amount due to financial problems? Then these are the steps you can follow:
- You can lower your monthly payment via the Riverty app.
Note: if you lower your monthly payment, it will take you longer to pay off your loan. This means you will pay more interest over time. - Please contact our customer service team.
We are happy to think with you. We can also sign you up for help from our own budget coaches. They can help and advise you in paying off the credit. - Is there a problematic debt situation that prevents you from paying? If so, seek help in time from a debt relief agency or report to your local municipality. They can help you regain structure in your financial situation and help you pay off any debts.
