For the Netherlands and for Belgium
Have you already returned the entire order? In that case, it is important to check the date of bankruptcy in the insolvency register.
If you have returned your order before the bankruptcy date
If the webshop has now been declared bankrupt, the trustee has taken over the company. There is a chance that your returned order will no longer be processed. Have you opted for payment via Riverty? In that case, your proof of shipment is important to prove that you indeed returned your order before the bankruptcy date. Is that the case? Then you do not have to pay your invoice.
If you returned your order on or after the bankruptcy date
If the webshop has now been declared bankrupt, the trustee has taken over the company. Your returned order may no longer be processed. Have you chosen to use the Riverty payment option? And did you return your order on or after the bankruptcy date? Then you are still responsible for paying the invoice to Riverty within the payment period. This is because we have already paid the order to the webshop for you at the time you confirmed the purchase. You can try to reclaim the amount of the returned products from the liquidator.
